“Despite being educated, I felt miserable after my marriage. My education and talent were not appreciated. I had to live on minimal pocket money. I was not allowed to work even though I had been awarded the Silver medal twice in my University. I had a good background but I had been degraded at every step. Then out of nowhere, I found Odetta and it changed my perspective. I started earning and felt empowered. It has been 1.5 years and Odetta is like my only hope for my and my kids future. “I was harassed at my workplace and my boss did nothing about it. And when I confronted her, she asked me to leave. It was the time when COVID-19 was on peak. I applied to Odetta, got inducted in the first attempt. Now after a year, when I look back I can see that I was at the wrong place. Women are facing so much out there. Just because we want to earn, we want to have a career. I can never thank Odetta enough for providing a platform to women where they can earn without any fear."

Unfortunately for me, I am in a setup where women like myself aren't appreciated (actually perceived as a threat). I started off with a lot of confidence and realized 3 months in that I have no family support whatsoever. So I am making the best of what I can do. My job as a Statistician and aspiring Data Scientist for Odetta has helped me achieve a work-life balance, has given me financial freedom, and has made me more self-confident. It has taught me not to give up and to believe in a bright future for myself.
