Our mission is to give you back your time, while providing virtual work & community to women globally.
Odetta was born out of a simple insight.
There are millions of superstar-educated women, especially in developing economies, unable to work due to constraints that can be smartly solved with technology. The most significant constraints faced by women who do not work are location, time, and work culture. Especially in developing economies, there is a hidden pool of female talent who are not part of the 9-5, nor are they on any of the existing freelancer platforms. This workforce is highly educated (often Masters and PhDs), committed, and motivated. The key to unlocking this talent is facilitating flexible asynchronous remote work.
Odetta has built a remote engagement tech platform that delivers flexible work at scale to superstar women globally. By empowering this talent, we are changing the way these women view themselves, and we are making the world a better place, one project at a time.
WHY ODETTA?
Odetta is a company of underdogs. All our Odettians were hired because of their innate abilities and desires to fulfil their full potential. Our platform was built on the basis of creating a community of supportive, talented women who can deliver quality work while building a sisterhood.
We are selective when it comes to choosing our clients because for us the happiness of our team comes first. We believe that focusing on prioritizing the well-being of our Odettians intrinsically motivates them to work harder because they know that the company values their efforts. And this clearly translates in our monthly happiness surveys (yes, we actually measure this!).
We’ve been on the Forbes America’s Best Startup Employers List in 2021 & 2022, we are a part of #UnreasonableFUTURE, and we continue to show up every day eager to grow.
ODETTA SOCIAL IMPACT
Our efforts have resulted in 350 Odettians worldwide, with 530 annual training hours invested. We are proud to say that 100% of our Odettians receive regular performance reviews, with 92% receiving performance-based increments and 22% receiving promotions. Furthermore, over 50% of our Odettians were previously unemployed or underemployed, and we are thrilled to report that 95% of our team members agree that our team-based roles at Odetta are less lonely than those found on other freelancer platforms (with assignments for individuals). read more
